This event is to encourage kids to live a healthy lifestyle by participating in a little swimming, biking and running. We look forward to this year\’s event
This is a kids only triathlon taken place at the Pompano Beach Aquatic Complex. Your child will swim in a pool, bike/run on a closed course. The entry fee will cover race goodies.
All athletes must be at the event location by 7:00am on event morning. Once you are parked you will not be permitted to leave until the last bike rider is off the course.
There will be no race day registration.
NO TRANSFERS/NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED IN THE EVENT OF SEVERE WEATHER RACE DAY CANCELLATION. In the event of severe weather the event will be Cancelled.
***ALL CHILDREN MUST BE A USAT MEMBER ($15.00 annual fee) and abide by all USAT rules. Race age is determined by the age you are as of 12/31/2014.
Parent Tip: Transition area closes at 7:20am(no exceptions). No parents will be allowed in the transition area; there will be plenty of room to see your child racing.

100 Meter Swim/ 2 Mile Bike/ .5 Mile Run
12-15 year olds
200 Meter Swim/ 4 Mile Bike/ 1 mile Run
All participants will receive a t-shirt and finisher medal.
Medals will be awarded as follows Top 3 M/F in each age group:

Open/Pro – Double Elimination
Note 1: Open/Pro Divisions will play semis and finals on Sunday.
AAA – Pool Play & Playoffs

Junior – Pool Play & Playoffs
Note 1: Juniors will register for Open or Club Divisions.

No matches/sets/games will start after 1 hour before sundown.
The first round in the contenders bracket will be a match (21/21/15).
If there are more than 18 teams expect the event to last 2 days with semi-finals and finals on Sunday.
1st – 50% of Prize Pool
2nd – 30% of Prize Pool
3rd – 10% of Prize Pool (x2)
The payout for AAA will be as follows and you (personally not as a team) can only receive cash once (AAA was started for people to prepare to play open we are not forcing you to move up but if you choose to stay in AAA you will be playing for prizes the same as the other divisions).
1st – $100.00 (team) and a complimentary entry into Open
2nd – Complimentary Entry AAA or Volleyballs
3rd – Prizes

Due to our high demand it is unlikely that there will be onsite registration, so register EARLY!!!
2014 DTB Rules:
2 or less pools – the top three teams come out
3 or more pools- the top 2 teams come out.
2-way tie- determined by head to head
3-way tie- for 1 spot is determined by least amount of points against.
3-way tie for 2 spots is 1st spot is determined by least amount of points against and the 2nd spot is determined by head to head in pool play
Three team pool – play matches 21,21,15
Four team pool – play games to 25 (cap 27) Five team pool- play games to 21 (cap 23)
(Caps are for JUNIOR POOL PLAY ONLY NO CAPS ON JUNIOR PLAYOFFS)
No caps in adults pool play or playoffs
Net rule- only top of tape is considered net
Coaching- no coaching is allowed for juniors during play. You may coach during a time out or technical time out.
