Highlights from the June 2011 event included live musical performances in three different locations and free coffee and dessert samples from The Beach Roast Coffee & Tea and Bake Shop, the newest restaurant opening in the Harbor Village Shopping Center. Pompano Discount Beverage had a free wine tasting with Premiere Beverage and Mr. Fish gave away a giant lobster. Event attendees guessed the weight of “Charlotte” the lobster, named after District 2 Pompano Commissioner Charlotte Burrie. Budding artists also had the chance to do a charcoal drawing under the expert eye of artist and clay sculptor Doris Krueger, teacher of “The Art of Seeing” at the Skolnick Center.
Join your neighbors to explore flavors from over 15 restaurants featuring global cuisine. There will be free wine tastings from around the world in participating shops and artist exhibits throughout Harbor Village and Atlantic Square Shopping Center. The CRA will provide visuals and information to inform attendees about the exciting improvements underway in the East CRA. Visit http://pompanobeachcra.com/ to learn more about planned improvements.
