Members of the Pompano Beach Piranhas are looking forward to a trip to Cooperstown, New York. They will have the once in a lifetime opportunity to play in a tournament at Dream’s Park near the Baseball Hall of Fame. They will live together in a barracks and play in seven games from June 19 to 26. They are raising money to go to the tournament and were selling snack items at the Pompano Beach Green Market.
The tournament is limited to 12 year old players. The Piranhas are a travel baseball team and offer boys and opportunity to play baseball at a high level. During the trip, the players will visit the Baseball Hall of Fame. “This is a good opportunity for the players,” said Lisa Stephenson, a team mother.
